Well done, Günther!: We call it "schicksalhaft"

Here, in Brussels, I am far away frome my home Stuttgart. And I think sometimes, how it was, when I was the president of Baden-Württemberg. I liked it, but Federal-Chancelor Angela Merkel liked it not so much as me, that I was so successfully.

So I had to go new roads. But I was lucky in Stuttgart. There is a big nightlife and I know many important decision-leaders there. It is a nice city and all people know there, where I am.

Excuse me, I mean: all people know, who I be and what I do. And I, as a eczellent ex-president, think to all the people, who was been president before me in this job in this beautiful part of Germany.

People like Hans Filbinger. He was a strong man and I like him very good, but he is dead. Some people find he was bad, but I don’t see why this schould be a problem to my opinion. I find, that Filbinger was not so clearly a Nazi.

Well, he sent some soldiers to hell because of Dersertation-Problems. But that was long ago in this very sad war, that we have lost so suddenly. So I find, that Filbinger has not so much Decision-Power in the Three-Reich-Episode, as some left-fanatical people want to say, that it was so.

Filbinger must do this in this time, I think. He was an enemy of Hitler in the truth. But it was a strong power at this time in the nation and socialist-episode, so that Filbinger had to do this in his way, you know.

With my eyes we - as atfer-born-people - can not put the finger in the air and turn it in the direction of Filbiger, because we don’t know, what we do in this situation, because we was not born.

Filbinger jumped in a situation, that we call "schicksalhaft" in Germany. This is a very special word which not exists in other countries so long. But I will try to change this in my job in Brussels. I want to make it right clear: We can not feel like Filbinger feel, because we were not born in this episode and he is dead now.

Understand you that thinking of me? That’s what we can lern for the future when we think with our mind over history, would I say, with my opinion to this, so long.
