Well done, Günther: A Tale of Two Citys

My first impressions of brussels are wonderful. I was unsecure if many inhabitants speak belgian because I can this language not. But to my surprise I heard a lot french and flatgerman. Not that I can flatgerman but I know that my ministerpresidentcollege Christian Wulff understands flatgerman. With my english I will come good through in my new homeland.

I dont know if anybody of you have been in Brussels. You will laugh but there are more similarities between Stuttgart and Brussels than you think. Both have a great railway station only that Stuttgart has a headrailwaystation. But with Stuttgart twentyone the railway will soon drive under the earth. Both cities have market places, the one in Brussels is better. Both cities have a tower.

The television tower in Stuttgart is like all television towers, the atomium in brussels is much funnier. A man I know from my tennis club told me, that the belgians invented the atom in the atomium but that is bullshit. I mean, I am the energy commissar of the EU I must know who invented the atom. It was Otto Rooster, no, no, it is a joke, of course his name was Hahn.

And then there is the big difference between Brussels and Stuttgart. Brussels has the EU and Stuttgart not. I will me onstrengthen to do a good job there. I know that not all people love the EU. So we man and woman in the EU must stay close together. I said this to one of my new colleges and he said: "You are right Günther. We are all sitting in one boat."
