Well done, Günther: On the swabish railway

I give it honestly to: The nearer my great day comes, the more become I fear. But is that a wonder? In little days is it so far, and since weeks I can only think at one question: Will I drive from Stuttgart to Brüssel with the ICE or will I fly with the airplane? Car falls out by this weather.

For the airplane speaks that it is quick. But for the train speaks the hole rest. The most important argument is the tradition in my homeland. Already before my birth we loved locks and wagons more than the hole rest of the world together. My homeland is the only that I know, where it gives even a peoplesong over the railway, and know you since when? Since 1853!

And the best is: The people in the hole world can sing it with, at least great parts, because the text ist not German and not English, exactly taken has it no words. "Trulla trulla trullalla, trulla, trulla trulla la, Stuegert, Ulm ond Biberach, Meckebeure, Durlesbach." The only what everybody should know: In reality comes Durlesbach before Meckebeure, but the poem would not function in the right linefollow.

On every case: In my homeland we love the railway, since we stopped sitting in one boat and sailing down the Neckar in 1853. Short after that came I and invented "Stuttgart" (in my motherspeak: "Stuegert") 21. Already my grandmother had great fun when I told her that I would build a tunnel under hole Stuegert für zig millions of Euros. And now, so short before my end in my homeland, have we startet the great project.

But now I am happy that I am away, before the anger with the project begins. Before years, I thought it could once be called "The Oettinger-Tunnel". But now I think it will never become ready, and therefore it would pass better when they call it after our new Railway-Chief: Grube. But this joke understand only we Germans. I think I take the flyer to Brüssel.
